52 Card Challenge UKS Scrappers - Week 35

Trying to dip back into the card challenge on UK Scrappers which has sadly again gone off course this year, I will try to catch up with them gradually in the hope of finishing all the challenges in one year - a goal, in any case!

This week. Nat set the challenge to be a "jaunty angle".  I am normally a straight kind of girl, but this is how I interpreted this challenge -

I took some freebie paper that had been kicking around for a looooonnnnngggg time (both the stripes and the leaves) and married it up with the gold felt doily that had come free with a card magazine.  I also delved into a packet of ancient die cuts for the brown paisley tag base.

Supplies:
Stripe and leaves paper - unknown
Brown paisley tag - unknown
Prima Got Flowers
Bronze sequins
Curly Cute sentiment stamps - Stampin' Up!
String
Washi Tape - yellow triangles and woodgrain - CTMH

I also did some "faux" stitching around the border with the brown Project Life journalling pen and some gold over the top.  Lots of sanding and distressing and the addition of the twine (also distressed) underneath.

A bit misty, inky and distressy - a nice change for me again!

Thanks for visiting.

  1. You do distressed really well Ali. Great take on the challenge and I cannot believe that is faux stitching, it's amazing.
