CTMH Christmas Card

Here's a very simple Christmas card I whipped up last night, using Close to My Heart products from the new 2014-15 catalogue.

I've used a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card base from Kaisercraft - I have just finished making cards with this pack and I love the colour - almost Kraft, and great for men's cards.

Repeatedly stamp the label from Holiday Labels/Occasions down the left hand side.  Ink one in New England Ivy with the Cranberry message, and cut out.

Adhere the Dark Chocolate stripey ribbon onto the card with Glue Lines, and glue the edges with wet glue to prevent fraying.

Cut a scalloped edge with the Fiskars Threading Water punch and adhere on the bottom of the ribbon.

Stamp the holly from the Sing Glory Hostess set, and cut out.  Apply the label greeting onto the card with 3D pop dots, and then adhere the holly with wet glue onto the ribbon.

Add some Candy Cane Stickles around the edge of the label and as tiny dots to represent the berries on the holly.  Go ahead and fill in the round spaces of the scalloped edge border die cut.

Stand back and admire! I think this card would be particularly suitable for men, or for people who like clean and simple designs.

  1. I like the repetition of the label shape and the added dimension of the raised one. A bit early for me yet!
