CTMH Skylark cards - thank you Chinchilla!

We are now moved into our new house in Hervey Bay, so the period of adjustment and settling in begins.  I have absolutely no inspiration to craft, as there is no order or organisation, and my future scrapping room currently is a dumping ground!

Here are the cards I made for my lovely friends in Chinchilla to say thank you for their friendship and the gift of the boys' bikes and helmets they received at their 3rd birthday party.

Seeing that I received 25 sheets of this Skylark paper in my consultant's kit, my motto is always to get using! I don't currently know any crafters here in Hervey Bay, and already have a mountain of stash to use, so I may as well create with the Skylark kit whilst it is still relatively fresh to me and get it finished.  However, with each sheet making just four cards, that could obviously take a while! Still, here are some samples.

To the above card, I inked around the edge of the paper with lagoon ink.  Used my scallop scissors to add the Juniper border interest, made a journalling label with a Spellbinders die and added some other flowers - I do prefer smaller flowers to large ones, as I find them more usable on cards.

Skylark complements - birdcage, along with a resin flower, placed within a larger fabric daisy.  The dark chocolate scallop interest was left over on my table.

The card for the above crafty friend had a change of paper - here I used Studio Calico.  The zigzag circle embellishment holder is a Sizzlits die, which I run through my Bigshot.  The left over strip of Skylark patterned paper was used under the washi tape for extra interest.

Other company washi tape (Doodlebug) with a daisy Prima flower - this helps to "ground" the resin flower, I think.

Lots of left overs here on the above card - the bird Skylark complements, with a resin flower.  All others were left overs.

I used the ticket and daisy centre from the Skylark complements, along with a Spellbinders die and some old Doodlebug sequins, glued on with Glossy Accents.

To the above card, I used the blue ticket, along with the yellow resin bird and green daisy.

To most of the cards, I added Stardust Stickles as a way of adding sparkle and pop! and I also love adding gems and pearls where I can.

I only have some larger Skylark complements journalling tiles left, which I shall use on layouts or special cards where appropriate.

Supplies:
CTMH Skylark patterned paper, Skylark complements, Slate striped twist ties, Skylark assortments (resin flowers and birds), Kraft, Lagoon, Juniper and Sweet Leaf cardstock and some other companies' left over scraps

Waiting for some energy and inspiration to begin sorting out my craft room and start creating again ... I am sure it will happen soon!  Thanks for visiting.  :)
