On UK Scrappers, Nat set the challenge to use a collection pack - well, the only one I have is the one just given to me for my birthday, which is the Do Crafts "Lovely" Range.
I've made two large cards, which is fairly necessary with this range because of the scale. Some papers translate well into cards, whilst others don't - I prefer to make cards of mixed size in any case, to prevent boredom from setting in.
All papers were from the collection pack, with the exception of the mint green to back the red rectangle. That was made for my mother-in-law's forthcoming birthday - I love the photo realism of the button and the brads on the side. My additional elements were lace and the pink ribbon - the blue ribbon was also part of the collection.
To the card above, I added a doily, small pearls and some matting around the red circle and the journalling heart. Also, some washi tape and some lace through the middle.
I thought I was over making collage cards, but I seem to have come back to it quite a bit lately - but then I do think it is necessary to adapt your style according to the products you're using.
Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Cardstock
Doily
Do Crafts "Lovely" patterned paper, die cuts, ribbon
Small pearls
Washi tape
RibbonI am having great fun with these challenges - it is always interesting to see what comes up each week! Very much to see also what other people are making, too. Thanks for stopping by ....
